St. Andrews S107

Your path to a choice of universities worldwide.

St. Andrews International School, Sukhumvit 107 students follow a rigorous curriculum aligned with the English National Curriculum Standards using the IB framework, standards and practices. Currently we offer IGSCE’s for Years 10 and 11 and the IB Diploma for Years 12 and 13.

The National Curriculum is organised into blocks of years called ‘key stages’ (KS). Year 7 to 9 students follow the Key Stage 3 (age 11-14), Year 10 and 11 (age 14-16) students follow a two-year Key Stage 4 IGCSE course and Year 12 and 13 students (age 16-18) study for the IB (International Baccalaureate) Diploma. This prestigious Diploma is recognised throughout the world as an entrance qualification for study at university and other providers of Higher Education.

We offer a broad and balanced range of subjects including, English Language and English Literature, (English as a Second Language where applicable) Mathematics, Science (Dual Award), Mandarin, French, Geography, History, ICT, Art and Business Studies.

At the end of each key stage, your child’s teacher will formally assess their performance to measure your child’s progress. Assessment is continuous and systematic; this allows for personalised learning which ensures that students make good progress towards attaining their potential at IGCSE (International General Certificate of Education) then beyond into the IB Diploma.

We have high expectations for our children and carry out regular assessments to ensure that they are making good progress. These assessments allow us to refine our teaching and learning to make sure that the individual needs of all our children are being met. These show us that children at St. Andrews International School, Sukhumvit 107 match, and in many cases, exceed the attainment of children in England in both state and independent schools.

Assessments are conducted each term. The assessments range from asking the children to complete a piece of work independently, to written tests depending on age and time of the school year. Reports are sent home each term with teacher conferences held twice a year, one in term one and one at the end of term three.

Communication between the parents and teachers is almost daily with the support of our VLE (Virtual Learning Environment). Parents can log on each day via a dedicated website or mobile app, to see what their children have been doing at school and to learn more about the activities and events held on campus.
